Beer and grain have been flowing in the pub on the corner of Br\u00fcckenstra\u00dfe and today's Rungestra\u00dfe since 1899 and hearty meals have been served here for just as long. The name of the restaurant, however, has changed several times over the years. It all began with the \u201cCaf\u00e9 Metropol\u201d, which even back then served more than just coffee, then the \u201cRestauration Freudenberg\u201d and finally the Berlin corner pub \u201cZur Sonne\u201d. The pub existed under this name until 1981, almost 50 years. After it was handed over to its new owner, the \u201cEintopf-Eck\u201d became widely known. It was not until 10 years later, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the GDR, that the decision was made to advertise under a new name and the restaurant was renamed \u201cMittmann's\u201d. Mittmann's is a rock in the surf of a constantly changing city and stands out from the advancing modernity. And that is exactly what is important here. Unchanged original coziness, traditional Berlin dishes and hospitality invite you to linger a little longer. In the past, personalities such as Tamara Danz, singer of the East German rock band \u201cSilly\u201d, presenter and singer Helga Hahnemann and politicians such as Wolfgang Thierse, Thilo Sarrazin and Renate K\u00fcnast have also stayed here.<\/mark><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Around Berlin in 80 Beers. <\/mark><\/h5><\/div>

Peter Sutcliffe mentions Mittmann's restaurant in his book \u201cAround Berlin in 80 Beers\u201d and thus distinguishes us as one of the best 80 pubs in Berlin where you can enjoy a good beer or two in a cozy atmosphere.<\/mark><\/p>
